The brief

Inviting media to meet Jo Barrett in Milan and getting to known her Australian local ingredients 

The project

Jo Barrett is one of Australia's best pastry chefs. Thanks to her presence in Italy - Jo participated in the World Pastry Championship in October 2019 in Milan - Tourism Hub organized a media event at the Scuola de La Cucina Italiana.
Taking inspiration from "the earth and the elements" Jo draws inspiration from Aboriginal pieces and uses traditional ingredients. The media invited were involved in an engaging story about Melbourne and the Yarra Valley region, discovering its fresh products, experiences to do and experienced the ingredients that Jo brought with her. With her sympathy Jo told how she draws inspiration from native Australian ingredients, following the “farm to table” philosophy, minimizing waste.
